FAST WORK-OUTS AT LEXINGTON. Lexington. Ky.. April 28. — The lwst work at a mib yesterday at the Kentucky Association track was accomplished ,v J. T. Leaaejra Turco. which went the half in 19%, thn e-i|iiarters in 1:18, seven-eighths in 1 :29. finishing out the mile in 1:42, under a drive. Oleipner worked the same distance in 1:42-,. running the fractional faster, but not finishing as strongly as Turco. Other good miles were J. W. Parrishs Derby candidate Midway in 28%, S3, 48%, 1:01 %, 1:15, 1:28%, 1:43: Alert in 1:43%: Cantara in 1:44:,: Wadswortlfs List in 1:43%; Anthonys Last in 1:43%: TrcvJeCB in 1:431.-,: Little String in 1:41%; Cudgel in 1:44%; Opportunity in 1:43. and Pell Poy hi 1:44. The five-year-old Chalmers made the rail birds sit up and take notice when he sprinted thrco- |iiarters in 1:14. the fractional time being exced-ingly fast, the inartcr being run in 22%, half in 47r.. five-eighths in 1:88%. Chalmers will be hard to beat at this distance. Hamliemar worked three-quarters in 1:17%; Nancy Clancy in 1:18; Tom Jr. in 1:17%; Good Counsel. 1:17: Jessie .. 1:17%; Pais and Stars. 1:17: Mars Cassidy. 1:18%; Pird Lore. 1:18; Jane Straith, 1:15--.; The Duke. 1:17%, and Hastena. 1:15%.
