WINDSOR STAKES TO CLOSE MONDAY. The closing of entries to an important program of stake races takes place at midnight of Monday, when the Windsor Jockey Clubs stakes close. The events are for the clubs two meetings, with the Frontier Handicap as the star attraction of the July meeting, and the Windsor Jockey Club Handicap in similar prominence in connection with the August meeting. So far as it goes, the program is good and worthy of generous patronage, but it is defective in that no stake race is provided for three -year-olds at either of the two meetings. The Froutier. with its 0,000 added, now takes rank with the most valuable handicaps of the year and should bring about a capital contest. The conditions of the eight events offered are displayed elsewhere in this issue and are commended to the consideration of owners and trainers.
