LEOCHARES was outpaced in the early running, but responded resolutely when put under punishment and, wearing the leaders down in the last sixteenth,, won drawing clear. I1IA FRANK raced next to the inner rail all the way and passed HIGH NOON in the homestretch, but could not withstand the winners challenge. HANK ODAY was prominent throughout and .made a game effort at the eighth post, but tired near the end. HIGH NOON showed great speed for a half mile and tired. CRANK unseated his rider at the start. OLD ROSEBUD set a great pace from the start and was under mild restraint to the last turn, where he drew away and was easing up at the finish. CAPRA raced Jn nearest pursuit of the leader and held on tenaciously under punishment in the final drive. STRAIGHT FORWARD closed up gamely, in the homestretch, but was tiring at the end. SUNBONNET, after being a fprward contender, also tired in the last eighth and probnbly was short. RUNES saved ground on the turns and finished close up. BORROW was outpaced, but finished gamely. TING-A-LING raced into a good lead in tlio first quarter, but tired in the stretch drive. DOUGLASS S. gained steadily in the enrly running, but came extremely wide when entering the homestretch. TRITE set the pace under restraint until rounding the last turn, then responded resolutely to punishment in the last eighth and outstayed PANAMAN in the final drive. tPANAMAN raced next to the rail throughout and took a slight lead at the eighth post, but was tiring in the closing strides. BLAZONRY was hard ridden all the way and held tho others safe. for third place. SO. LONG LETTY was shuttled back at the start and closed a big gap. NOONTIDE showed speed and tired in the last eighth.
