CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Word has been received at the Jefferson Parish track that Jockey Ted Rice will arrive there in a few days, ready to accept mounts. He is at present on his farm in Indiana, a short distance from - Chicago. The firm of Ross and Looney, Lexington, Ky., has tent three horses to New Orleans to race this winter, lu the consignment are St. Judge, Madeline C. and a two-year-old. The two-year-old will be sent tp Fred Goode, the Cincinnati turfman, while the other two horses will be raced under the colors of Ross and Looney. Trainer Dannie Stewart will take charge of tlie older horses.
