EMIL HERZ PLANS TRIP TO KENTUCKY KENTUCKYVill Vill Be There for Foaling of Marion Hood and Intrigue Wickliffe Stud Purchases Now York February 13 Emil Herz has an ¬ nounced his intention of making another trip to Kentucky during the latter part of the present week If his plans do not miscarry lie will be there for the foaling of Marion Hood and Intrigue two mares which lie purchased at the Wickliffe Stud sale and also to see the first of the progeny of Short Grass Marion Hood the mare for which Mr Herz paid 17000 is expected shortly to pro ¬ duce a foal by Snnstar while Intrigue was bred to ntimus Mr Herz also lias i number of mares at the Idle Hour Farm all in foal by Short Grass GrassAVillis AVillis Sharpe Kilmer will dispose of two colts and four fillies all sired by Ogden and bred by John E Madden They are all twoyearolds and are in charge of Henry McDaniel at Churchill Downs Louisville The youngsters are being dis liosed of to make room for others in the Kilmer KilmerIliil Iliil T Chinn arrived here yesterday from Lex ¬ ington for a brief visit He reports weather con ¬ ditions much improved in Kentucky and says the recent thaw has made it possible for horses to be given outdoor work
