RACING STATISTICS OF THE GREATEST MEETING IN THE HISTORY OF CHURCHILL DOWNS The spring meeting of the New Louisville Jockey Club, which Ix-gan on May 11 and came to an end May 25, was. according to all re|H rts, the greatest of the many wonderfully successful meetings staged a* tiiat progressive Kentucky racing association. Durirg the thirteen days of racing ninety-one races wen- decided and .slOS.740 was dictributed in stakes and purses, fa* general daily average amounted to .3«4. The attendance, beginning with the immense gathering that witnessed the Kentucky Derby on opening day and winding up with the big crowd of Saturday, when the Kentucky Oaks was decided, was a record breaker and the spec ulation in the niutuels was of correspondingly large value. W. S. Kilmer, by virtue of Exterminators victorv in the Kentucky Delay, was the leading money i winning owner. E. K. Bradley finished in second : place, with C. T. Worthington a close third.
