CANADIAN JOCKEYS JOIN THE COLORS Toronto Out July 19 Three wellknown Cana ¬ dian jockeys Harvey Boyle Bill Warriiigton and Bill Whatley are among the recent arrivals from over the border to return to Canada and join the colors Boyle when in his prime was one of the best steeplechase riders in America Of lato years he deserted the ranks of the riders through the field and has been devoting his energies to training trainingWarriiigton Warriiigton received his early education with Charles Boyle of Woodstock and piloted his first winner Boyles Detective to victory over the turf course at Hamilton in the spring of 1910 He de ¬ veloped rapidly thereafter and met with consider ¬ able success on both the Canadian and American tracks tracksBill Bill AVhatley is a Montreal boy aud his riding was confined mostly to the second circuits in Can ¬ ada lie rode for several Montreal horsemen when iu his prime Like Boyle Whatley also drifted into the ranks of the trainers at which he was fairly successful
