ARISTOCRATIC ENGLISHBRED FOALS Among this seasons foals are several which are specially interesting on account of their close re ¬ lationship to recent celebrities One such is the colt by Bayardo Rosedrop brother therefore to Gainsborough and like his distinguished relative a bay That the youngster should be either a bay or brown however goes without saying Bayardo being a pure dominant for color and all his imme ¬ diate ancestors are bays browns or black until we come to the chestnut Lady Muneaster at the third remove which combines in herself the blood of the two famous chestnut brothers Slockwell and Rata ¬ plan Another interesting foal a late one foaled on May 17 is the chestnut or gray filly by Roi Ilerode Vahren and therefore sister to the famous spotted wonder The Tetrarch Another fillyfoal born early in February is the bay sister to Paper Money by Greenback Epping Rose which follows color A late foal May 30 is the colt by The Tetrarch Veneration II dam of Craganour Glor vina etc So highly is The Panther thought of by various good judges that it is interesting to note that the present foal of his dam Countess Zia is by Spearmint The Panther of course is by that other great horse Tracery The young stallion Son in Law whose first foals came to hand this season shapes like a pure dominant all of his progeny as far as I am aware being bays or browns There is a colt by him dam Derby and Oaks winner Signorinctta Vigilant in London Sportsman
