GOOD PRICES FOR SANFORD YEARLINGS TwentySix WellBred Youngsters Sell for 34575 Son of Prince Palatine Brings 10000 New York September 14 Twentysix of tlie yearlings from John Sanfords Hiirricana Farm at Amsterdam were sold by the FasigTipton Com ¬ pany at Durlands last night for a total of 34575 an average of 1329 Out of twentyeight offered two were withdrawn without a bid The highest figure realized was for the foreignbred colt Don nacona for which K T Wilson paid 10000 There were several bidders for this brown colt by Prince Palatine Kildonan including Fred Johnson and Max Hirsch the latter probably bidding for his employer former Congressman George W Loft LoftThe The first band of The Curragh yearlings ever of ¬ fered in this country were disappointments five of them only bringing 81300 C J Casey bought two one of the Sanford band by Macdonald II Triomph ale for which he paid 400 and one from W D Millers consignment a good looking chestnut filly by Uncle Thirty Third for 2000 These two were purchased for J II Rosseter of California CaliforniaW W H Karriek made several purchases pre ¬ sumably for W It Coe and II K Knapp though he declined to say at the time for whom he had bid bidK K T Wilson showed his faith in the future of the turf by paying the highest price for a year ¬ ling and the third highest for the Rabelais Red Cross colt for which he paid 4100
