MAY LIFT KENTUCKY BAN NEXT WEEK Bocrd of Health Intimates Modification of Restric ¬ tions in Certain Localities Latonia Kay Be One OneCincinnati Cincinnati O October 20 There were no fresh developments today to indicate when It might be possible for the Latonia Jockey Club to proceed with its deferred race meeting General Manager John Hachmeister was still without definite infor ¬ mation from the health authorities of Kentucky as to when the ban against public gatherings which prevents the opening of the meeting will bo lifted Meanwhile the health officials of Covington continue to express satisfaction over the virtual dissappearance of influenza from the community in which the Latonia track is located However from Louisville comes information that officials of the Kentucky State Board of Health had intimated that If influenza conditions grew no worse the board might lift the ban against outdoor gatherings in the early part of the coming week in those communities where the disease has been definitely checked Since the situation is described by the local health authori ¬ ties as entirely under control at Covingtotf and other localities adjacent to the Latonia track It Is fig ¬ ured that Latonia is one of the spots from which it would be perfectly safe to lift the ban In this connection it may notbe out of place topoint out that the racing colony in the vicinity of the La touia track has been practically free from Influenza at all times since it made Its appearance In this locality and that there has not been a single fatal case among the racing folk
