A K MACOMBERS FUTURE TURF PLANS Trainer Jennings Declares That His Employer Will Quit Racing but Will Maintain Breeding Stud StudNew New York November A K Maeomber will not nice a string of horses next year said Walter Jennings his trainer yesterday I have orders to turn out the thoroughbreds at Silyerbrook the old stud farm near Bed Bank N J which was once owned by Apple Johnson but which is now owned by F Henshaw of New York There are eight horses of Mr Macombers at Silverbrook I have seven head at Pimlico which unless I sell them in the next ten days I will ship to Bed Bank i as soon as Pimlico ends Despite some hard luck j some f which was due to human beings I have I had a good season I have won in round numbers Saoooo which heads the list of winners for the year up to date Commander J K L Uoss is a close second to Mr Maeomber and now that he has my three fast horses War Pennant War Marvel and Motor Coy t may be that trainer Bedwell f he has goiid luck will beat me out for first money moneyUhcn Uhcn Commander Itoss bought War Pennant War Marvel and Motor Coy he purchased three of the finest thoroughbreds in America Tnless War Pennant meets with some accident this winter he is certain to be one of the best if not the best threeyearold of 1919 lie has a fine disposition A little boy can jog or canter him around the track Motor fastest horse In the Cop is the country over a short route He begins so fast at the start that 1c gains an advantage that no horse can over ¬ come I understand that Commander Iloss nearly won his purchase price out on Saturday SaturdayI I dont expect to train next season he con ¬ cluded Ciirenuistaiieea and the war will control niy actions I have worked hard for many years md I think Ill take a rest It may be that Ill purchase a few horses for myself I bought a great many winners for Mr Maeomber and I think I ought to have equal luck in picking good horses for myself Vtr Cloud and Hollister will be hipped to California where they will be placed at the head of Mr Macombers band of brood
