ANOTHER FOR SKILES KNOB Scores His Third Straight Victory in Feature Race at Havana. Rough Riding Brings Punishment for Jockeys Ball and Disunion Track Improving. HAVANA. Cuba, January W. Skilcs Knob won his third straight victory when he beat Ilocnir .i length in the Interoccnn Handicap, the feature of today:; program at Oriental Park. He shouldered Ids heavy impost of 120 lxmnds. set a good pace, and after leing momentarily headed in the stretch by Ilocnir came sign in with renewed speed and courage to win by a length. Tetley ran a good race to finish third. Tin? weather was ideal for outdoor sport, and the warm sun had its effect on the track, which was in fairly good condition today and will, in the event of no further rain, be close to fast tomorro.iv. The attendance was of goodly proportions and speculation keen anil brisk. The best finish of the afternoon came with the running of the first race, the mare Luzzi coming from behind and just managing to get up in time to beat Visible after the latter tired from racing Garonne into defeat. There was a bit of rough riding in the third, for which Dishmon and Hall were responsible. The former crowded out Conscription, while Kails mount, Kctterton, put Dixie Highway and Kevelry James iigninst the fence, causing the riders of those two horses to pull up. At the conclusion of the race the stewards issued a ruling barring Dishmon and Hall from riding for the next ten days. The filly seemingly outclassed her opposition and won with consummate ease after leading throughout without ever being extended. The old gelding Dimitri furnished a surprise when lie lowered the colors of Mabel Trask in the concluding race of the afternoon. The old fellow led all the way and gamely resisted every effort of the favorite in a warmly contested finish.
