RACING RECORD OF OLD HOWDY HOWDY Old Howdy Howdy, which was destroyed last week at Lexington after breaking a leg, the result of being kicked while in a blacksmith shop waiting to be shod, was a high-class selling plater that saw ten years cf service on the track, during which time he started in 141 races, winning thirty-eight and 5,938 in purses. He formerly raced for W. Woodnrd, then passed into the possession of Gallaher Bros., for whom he proved a useful racing tool. Last year Gallaher Bros., realizing that Howdy Howdys racing days were over, presented him to Sewell B. Combs, who used him as a buggy horse. The pedigree and racing record of the old gelding, who was a grandson of the great Ormonde, are as follows: Howdy Howdy, b. g. 1907, by Ossary Signorina. Year. Age. Sts. 1st. 2d. 3d. Unp.
