CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Flward Arlington, owner of Koh-i-Xoor St. Isidore and other good horses, is contemplating entering the cro.-s-country sport and may purchase a Jumper or so. The English Jockey Club starter for many years. Artt.ir Coventry, is out of health and will probably retire. He is likely to be succeetd by J. M. Marsh, who is starting the horses at the early English meetings in Mr. Coventrys absence. Tiie American Jockey Guy Garner has arrived in I.iris after riding at Saint .Sebastian, Spain, but expects to leave shortly for Italy to be on hand when the racing season begins there. Garner will return to France when racing is re-established on the French tracks. Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords, who paid 5,600 for the Sw eper -Zuna colt at the Saratoga sale last summer the largest price paid for a yearling last y,r, lias had the mime of the youngster changed from Switch to Golden Rrown. This handsome frr lgn-bred colt is said to have wintered splendidly, ir.d will be carefully prepared for lib many stake gagements, having been liberally entered in all t . principal Juvenile features already closed.
