f ! SMALL BAND OF HORSES WHICH WERE EFFECTIVE MONEY PRO- ! DTJCERS FOR THE CLEVELAND STABLE IN LAST YEARS RACING i : i With only six horses racing in its colors, one of which won nothing, the Cleveland Stable fared well in the racing of 191S with n return in money won of 3,324, comparing favorably with its record of S10.S44 in 191". There was no racing star in the stable, but every horse except the filly White Tuft, which only started three times, won enough to pay its expenses comfortably. The Ildrim mare Dorcas was its leading winner and, like nearly all the horses bred by Mrs. L. A. Livingston, was a hardy creature which took some part of the money in thirteen of her twenty-two races. Matinee Idol and Whimsy, two Whitney castoffs. each won close to 84,000 and in their class can speed along at a lively rate. Scoots did well also and, as a brother to Leochares, may do better still in the racing of 1919. The record of the stable was: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d, 3d. Won.
