CLOSING UP THE BIG KENTUCKY DEAL LEXINGTON Ky March 14 Henning Chambers of Louisville at 4 oclock this afternoon declared the subscription books for the 1000000 of pre ¬ ferred stock of the Kentucky Jockey Club closed It lias all been sold said he when Thomas 15 Cromwell announced that Itobert L Baker and others circulating subscription lists in Lexington and the lUne Grass region had sold 37SGOO worth of the stock to llJ subscribers This together with what has been sold in Louisville Covington Newport and other parts of the state said Mr Chambers completes the disposal of the preferred slock slockThe The Kentucky Jockey Club now is in full posses ¬ sion of the I xington Churchill Downs Douglas Park equipmentsThe and Latunta race tracks and their equipments The Kentucky Association was today paid 275000 for the local track and is now in process of liquida ¬ tion The deed conveying the property to the Ken ¬ tucky Jockey Club was left for record here this afternoon by Attorney A 1 Carroll of Louisville All persons in Lexington and vicinity who sub ¬ scribed for the stock in the new organization are expected to be at the office of the Kentucky Asso ¬ ciation next Tuesday between and 4 oclock to eceive their stock which will be delivered by Attorney Carroll
