MEETING ENDS BUT COMES BACK AGAIN Libertyville Racing After Seeming Dead Is to Be Revived Tomorrow Afternoon LIBERTYVILLE 111 July 7 The race meeting here originally scheduled for twenty days seemingly came to a sudden end this morning after only two days o racing There were two factions in the field one the Law and Orller League demanding the discontinuance of racing if there was to M any betting in connection with it while the other a few citizens of Libertyville held a meeting and requested the management to continue the sport They telephoned Sheriff Green of Waukegan to come to Libertyville to give his opinion as they claimed there was no law to stop them under the oral wageringAll system of wagering All the horsemen who have been racing here went to manager OLeary and offered to race their horses for reduced purses if he saw his way clear to con ¬ tinue the meeting The management lias fulfilled its agreement with the horsemen and all are satis ¬ fied hereLate with the treatment they received here Late in the afternoon there was a well attended meeting and consultation after which it was an ¬ nounced that racing will be resumed Wednesday afternoon The meeting was held i rivately and details were not procurable Better train service is promised and the admission is reduced to 2 which includes the war tax OLeary thinks he can now secure special train service from the Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul to carry natrons from Chicago to the track and back
