POSSIBLE NEW KENTUCKY RACE TRACK Kentucky Jockey Club Buys 100 Acres of Land in Eosodale a Mile from Latonia CINCINNATI O July 23 It la possible that Cincinnati and Covington turfgoers may see an en ¬ tirely new racing plant next spring The Kentucky Jockey Club has acquired sufficient acreage in Rosedale on which to erect an entirely new plant if it so desires desiresThe The property acquired is that purchased by Joseph L Ilh i nock some three years ago when he an ¬ nounced that he intended to build a track with a thirtyfour acre tract adjoining adjoiningHarvey Harvey Myers counsel for the Kentucky Jockey Club said that as far as he knew the directors had not really considered the matter but under ¬ stood they had a chance to acquire this property and believed it would be a good business investment for them even if they do not make use of it itGeneral General manager Matt Winn is In New York and resident manager H F Brelvogel Is in Detroit so no expression could be secured from either eitherThe The conveyance Avas a thirtyfour acre tract adjoining the Kenton County Infirmary In Rosedale and was transferred to Attorney M H McLean by Elizabeth Unkraut by warranty deed In the office of County Clerk John B Dillon Sr yesterday The deed was to correct title to the land which was conveyed to Mr McLean by the Unkraut heirs on November 1 1910 The grantor at that time was not of age G L Bering also transferred to Mr McLean a plat of ground which adjoins the larger tract tractAt At the time of the conveyance three years ago Kenton County Commissioners also sold to McLean a tract of land adjoining the infirmary which be ¬ came a matter of considerable litigation After MrV MlTJWtHThitd glvenan option otf the proper several Covington residents sought to enjoin the commissioners from giving a deed for the property because they said it was the inten ¬ tion of the purchasers for whom Mr McLean was acting to start a race track on the property The courts held that the option placed on the property by McLean was binding and It was ordered that the commissioners should make the conveyance conveyanceThe The commissioners conveyed the property to Mr McLean in 1917 1917It It was learned yesterday that the three tracts together with the property adjoining owned by the Cincinnati Gun Club in all approximately 100 ac ¬ res has been purchased by the Kentucky Jockey Club ClubThe The lot conveyed to Mr McLean yesterday by G L Bering Is to serve as an entrance to the entire tract and provides an opening on Michigan avenue In Soutli Covington CovingtonWihen Wihen asked about the deal yesterday Mr McLean declined to state whom he represented or for what purpose the land had been acquired but admitted the deal for the entire tract had been consum ¬ mated matedThe The land is nearly a mile from the present La ¬ tonia track
