Won easily; second and third driving. CONSTANCY took the lead quickly, always held the race safe and won in a canter. ARETIIUSA set the early pace fast, then raced in nearest pursuit of the leader and was easily best of the others. RICOCHET was under pressure all the way and outstayed SIC A MIME. HODGE began slowly, gained steadily on the outside of the leaders and finished with a rush. GLEIPNEIt, knocked back at the start, saved ground on all the turns and moved up gamely in the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. DR. RAE showed early speed. Won driving; second and third the same. NATURALIST, close- up from the start, gained steadily under hard riding and got up to win in the last stride. BILLY KELLY set a fast pace for the going and held on resolutely when challenged. ENFILADE moved up gamely in the. last eighth and missed HOLLLSTER in the tinal drive. HOLLISTER was speedy, but tired in the stretch drive. PETER PIPER quit badly after going a good half. BLUE LADDIE was eased up when beaten. OLD ROSEBUD acted badly at the post. RECOUNT set a good pace and drew away in t lie stretch, but gave way when challenged. THISTLEDON was a -prominent contender all the way and made a game finish. TICKET was under punishment in the last quarter, but could not improve his position. ROSE DOR raced on the inside in the softest going for three-quarters and tired. Scratched 13552 AVar Machine, 105. STARRY BELLE showed the most early speed, hut tired when challenged and put under punishment. STEVE began slowly, but closed a big gap and, coining fast in the last eighth, outstayed LADY LUCILLE. AVAR MARVEL, running in improved form and showing the most speed, raced CHIMNEY SWIFT into defeat and, drawing away in the stretch, easily withstood AVAR DRIVES challenge. The latter slipped through next to the inside rail on the streteli turn and finished fast and gamely. LEADING STAR raced extremely wide all the -way, but linished well and outstayed LADS LOVE. The latter tin, islied on the inside in the softest going. CHIMNEY SWIFT set a fast early pace and tired in the last eighth. PASTORAL SWAIN ran poorly. JOYFUL quit.
