GENERAL NEWS NOTES OF THE DAY CHICAGO, 111., September 4.-Weather forecast: Illinois Partly cloudy tonight and Friday; somewhat cooler in northeast portion tonight. Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas Partly cloudy tonight and Friday; not much change in temperature. General forecast: The weather conditions throughout the middle western states will continue much the? same during the next two or three days. No rain of consequence is at present anticipated, except possibly in the northern Rocky Mountain region. The temperature will continue close to - the seasonal normal. BOSTON, Mass., September 4. Immediate resumption of business relations with Germany and Austria was advocated today by Elbert II. Gary, chairman of the board of directors of the United States Steel Corporation, in an address before the animal meeting of the American Bar Association. Mr. Gary prefaced his speech with a declaration that the majority of the people of America were in favor of the peace treaty and the league of nations and that he would assume that it would be adopted without material change.
