FA IS AN DORE followed the early leaders under slight restraint, then closed up gamely when called on in the stretch and drew away in the last sixteenth. COPYRIGHT finished gamely and outstayed ROSELAND at the end. The latter laeked early speed, but finished with a rush through the last eighth. BRIGHT GOLD met with repeated interference and never could secure a clear course until 111 the final sixteenth. LOVERS LANE II. displayed the most early spend, but failed to Siay. ELFIN QUEEN raced into the lead on the last thru and held on gamely to the finish. FRUIT CAKE was hard ridden from the start and ran a good race PASSING SHOWER could never improve her position. PEN ROSE displayed excellent speed in early pacemaking, but quit as if short. BALLET DANCER II. and O ROUND-SWELL began poorly. CARPET SWEEPER, on the outside of the leaders all the way, made a game challenge oil the stretch turn, but tired linallv. KASHMIR ran well for a half, hut quit when called on.
