CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Twelve thoroughbred yearlings from the Rancocas Stud of Mrs. L. A. Livingston will be sold at auction Thursday night at Madison Square Garden. Fred Burlew will winter at Gravesend. At present he has the colt Irish Dream among others. His stable will be replenished when opportunity offers. The Meadowbrook Hunt Club will hold a point-to-point steeplechase on Thauksgiving Day, which will be the first race of its kind held since the beginning of, the Avar. King Alfonso of Spain was recently elected to membership in the English Jockey Club. The king was also elected to a fine for automobile speed in the Beis de Boulonge in Paris. He is having a "good time" while away from his throne. The Horse Publicity Association, which recently held a meeting in New York for the purpose of working out preliminary plans for a national organization which will have as its purpose publicity relative to the horse, and the important part he plays in our national economy, has decided to hold a meeting of national scope during the International Live Stock Exposition in Chicago the first week in December.
