l MINORITY STOCKHOLDERS SELL OUT Prominent Havana Business Men Secure Holdings of Friends of H. D. Brov.ni. HAVANA. C.iba. .lanuary 2. -A piece of news that will have an important bearing on future racing in Cuba was released this afternoon. It concerned the transfer of the minority interest in the tuba-American Jockey and Auto Club to a combination of wealthy and influential business men in Havana heretofore not prominently identified with racing other than as patrons of the sport. The stock was acquired by a syndicate and yvas foriiii rly held by friends of H. D. Brown. The new stockholders are I.. Qaioada of the Consolidated St i I Co. of Cuba: .1. F. Horten. the bead of a large fanning implement house and the owner of one of the finest office buildings in this city; .1. N. Alleyn. a prominent commission man: A. C. Harrison. Jr.. owner of swe of the most extensive sugar pluntn Hews on the island. All these gentlemen are in Hueutial and arc also closely aasoctated with other men of political and social prominence. It is their int. utioii to later purchase racing horses for the establishment of thoroughbred breeding farms on the island. .1. .1. McOrnw and C. H. Stoneham still continue to hold the inaioritv of the stock ill the club.
