J. W. McCLELLANDS TWO-YEAR-OLDS Trainer Wallace Has Fifteen Well Bred Youngsters Quartered at Churchill Downs. I.OriSVILI.K. Ky.. January S.— William Wallace. the veteran trainer, who has charge of James Mc- lellands western string has brought to Churchill twenty horses and this number is to be augmented by several older horses in a few weeks. Among these now on hand are five three -year-olds and fifteen two-year-olds. The older ones are Old Dad. Richelieu. East Indian. Hereafter and Venice. The names for the two-year i Ids have been selected and sent to the Jockey Club. but. have not. as yet. been announced. Ray ...it. by McOee Maltha. Trainer Wallace has just returned from a trip to Nalapa Stack Farm, in Bourbon County, where Fternal and The Wanderer are quartered. Both of these horses will -non be brought lure. Kternal wa- the victim of a severe kick on one of his legs last summer which necessitated taking him out of training. Wallace examined the colt thoroughly and expressed the opinion that he would stand training. The Wanderer win be fired and blistered and then put into training. Jockey Hugh Shilling has been engaged to do he riding for the western division of the stable.
