FATAL ACCIDENT AT NEW ORLEANS Jockoy Sullivan Almost Instantly Killed in a Fall in Race at Fair Grounds. NFW ORI.FAXS. T.a.. February 9.— Jockey Jack Sullivan, a New Orleans boy under conlract to J. W. McClelland, was ahaasl instantly kitted in a fall daring the running of the third race at the Fair rounds this afternoon. The lad was astride Rory oMore. which fell over Flying Witch, the latter having been crowded into a fall by Alula. Alula was first in the race, but was disnaalified by the stewards and first place awarded to Allivaii. which finished second. The accident in which Sullivan lost his life oc-Carred Bear the eighth post and in plain view of the hage crowd of racegoers. He was placed in an automobile and taken i,, the jockeys room, but life- was extinct when he arrived there. An examination revealed thai lie had sustained a fractured skull. Sullivan waa sixteen years old and had Is-en with the McClollaicd stable for two years.
