OUR FOREIGN - BRED RACE H0RSES NATURALIST, A GRAND THOROUGHBRED, THE GOOD FILLY OPHELIA, NOW DEAD, 0M0ND AND OTHER GOOD ONES IN THE THIRD INSTALLMENT Naturalist, the five -year old son of Hahelais — Nature, was one of the l ost of the foreign -hied horse* that took part ill our racing of last year. Aside from beteg somewhat erratic and displayimr an iiu- willtncncss to do his best unless hard pressed. Naturalist was a -lerbing racer, good weight carrier .-mil paaseaaed of a wonderful turn of speed. He warn eight races, finished second four times and third once. earning for his owner 9,339. Ophelia, the grand little till v that erected ipiite a stir last fall hy a series of hrilliant victories, aras another of the foreigner- that tigured prom i neatly in the 1919 racing. l"n-fortunate. indeed, is it that this well hied matron died shortly after lx ing retired for tiie year. Ophelia won SIO.loS. the result of eight lirsts. live seconds and a like nuniher of thirds. Oninnd was another that did well, as grc wins, six seconds and Bve thirds and earnings of S1K.1..S bear striking testimony to his ability. The above-asentioned are the btrgest winners appearing in this the third installment of feeehra- hred horses that raced in this country last year. Aminij; thi- grosm appears the name of the illu-trious Omar Kliayyani. which only raced a few time- and then was retired to the stud, where ii is hoped he will further enhance the fa he honestly won on the turf.
