and Von Tromp and a band of choice broodmares has returned from Ken ¬ tucky where he found his horses in the best of condition AVhiie in New Orleans on his way home Mr Ccbrian had the pleasure of seeing his own colors in front He is planning to ship ten year ¬ ling sons and daughters of Aon Tromp from Mira Monte Stock Farm to his place in Kentucky Two youngsters by the Yankee stallion Marse Abe will lt sold Mira soldMira Monte was sold last fall by Mr Ccbrian to A K Macomber and the mile track at the farm is used for training purposes by the new owner Ton royally bred young horses are now quartered at Mira Monte which is in the beautiful Santa Clara Valley and Mr Macomber intends to ship some more soon to the plant from the Elmwood Stock Farm FarmWestern Western breders are much interested in the ex ¬ ploits of the California gelding Jake Schas at Ti ¬ juana The fiveyearold son of Norford and Laura K was a Hindoo at small meetings prior to be ¬ ing shipped to the Lower California track so Jiis victories in races there is no surprise The horse is handsome and comes by his speed and stamina on both sides of bis family tree Norford was by Emperor of Norfolk Miss Ford by Enquirer Laura E the dam is a daughter of Pen Strome StromeThe The prowess of Emperor of Norfolk by Norfolk Mari on the racecourse is history Not so somuch much has been said in recent years about
