HAMILTONS LARGEST CROWD Dominion Day Program Brings Out Immense Gathering Irish Kiss Victor in National Han ¬ dicap Other Features to Dr Hickman and Silent West HAMILTON Ontario July 1 The Dominion Day card at the Hamilton Pack Jockey Club attracted to the course this afternoon a crowd even larger in numbers than the recordbreaking assemblage which turned out here last Saturday Todays at ¬ tendance exceeded by a wide margin any gathering in the history of horse racing in Hamilton The KIHctators were jammed into the grandstand and clubhouse ami the lawns in front of each were packed to capacity so that it was necessary to throw open the infield for the relief of conges ¬ tion Nearly fifteen hundred persons availed them ¬ selves of that opportunity and witnessed the racing from there thereInterest Interest in the program was divided between the National Handicap at a mile and eighth for three yearolds and upward the Went worth Handicap at threequarters of a mile and the Prince of Wales Purse at fiveeighths of a mile for Cana ¬ dianbred twoyearolds with the most interest ac ¬ corded the first named because of an added value of rOO rOOScratches Scratches reduced the field for the feature to three starters and Irish Kiss the favorite well ridden by jockey Morris had little trouble in win ¬ ning by a length Irish Kiss broke from the center of the trio and after racing to the
