FRENCH STABLE BOYS ARE ON STRIKE PARIS France July 2 The stable lads strike in France seems to be without any justification at all for the ground alleged is that nonunionist lads are allowed to share in the buiius given by some owners when they win a race Tliu lad who does the winner usually gets half of one per cent of the slake won and another half of one per cent goes to the rest of the stable employes The idea is of course to force all lads to join the union unionW W Pratt and Pantall two of the leading trainers at Chantilly have locked out the union stable lads who served them with an ultimatum on the question of employing nonunion labor in their stables
