WINDSORS ORDINARY CARD Napoo Scores Runaway Victory in Ontario Nursery Handicap Rain Hardly Settles the Dust. WINDSOR, Ont., August 27. Napoo, the Martinet La Gloria two-year-old from the R. D. Williams string, made a runaway race of the Ontario Nursery Handicap at three-quarters of a mile, which served as the principal attraction of an ordinary card. Rushed away from the barrier by jockey Donahue, the colt led all the way and won easing up. Old Chap and Alberta S. followed closest to him in the order named throughout the race. Irish Jig made a dismal showing. A heavy shower shortly before the first race wet the track down thoroughly, but hardly more than settled the dust and good time was made in all the races. George Barnes, trainer for C. W. Clark, the Montana horseman, will send jockey S. Wida to Devonshire Park to ride under tiic care of G. II. Bryson. Dillard Hill is an arrival from Kentucky to participate in the Devonshire Park meeting. Gene Elrod. who lias been In charge of the mu-tuel department here, leaves for Cincinnati at the conclusion of the meeting. Mr. Elrod will supervise the mutuels at the Blue Grass Fair at Lexington next week. H. W. Marsii, well known on the race track in days past as a trainer and stable agent, is a visitor on his way to Kitchener, Ont., from the oil fields of Texas, where lie has spent the last three years. Most of the stables which have been racing on this circuit throughout the Summer will be shipped from here to Ottawa. The Kentucky contingent, however, will race at Devonshire next week and then return home for the. Fall racing in their own state. Among the stables destined from here to Ottawa are those of J. K. L. Ross, H. Glddings, J. W. Murphy, T. Murphy, V. Farrar, E. Robic, W. J. Mclllraurray, C Knight, I. Shaw, G. C. Milton, W. M. Ryan. A. Wilson, M. Williams, C. L. Whiting, F. Kelly, C. Bucll, H. Warner. J. Nichols, J. W. Wngnon, W. Walker, T. E. Crist and J. A. Parsons. T., F. Bqrnman and I. G- Christopher also may go to Cohnaught Park. . .. " Among the jockeys carded for Attawa are T. Nolan. G. Walls, J. Butwell, K. Romanelli, J. Heupel, C. Duggnn, H. Stearns, J. Dreyer, L. Aron, E. Har-bourue, J. Barker and H. Myers. The stables of E. T. Zollicoffer. W. Oliver, C. A. Crew and the Brookdale stable horses are being rested up at Ottawa. A. L. Austin, F. Musante and a few other owners are desirious of shipping to Havre do Grace immediately after this meeting if they can obtain cars. The horses of J. S. Ward arrived here this morning from Saratoga. Included in the lot were Dodge, Midway, Gloria France, Adonis, Wislimaker, Marjorie McKay and Red Legs. Thej- will be raced at Devonshire. Jockey H. J. Burke accompanied the Ward stable here. Ten Can, belonging to F. St. John, and a pair belonging to J. H. Keene arrived on the same train. The G. M. Hendrie stable will be rested up here at the conclusion of this meeting. Jockey T. Nolan was summoned to Saratoga today by trainer Beuwcll. Jockey O. Willis rode the only Itoss starter here today. Nolan will return to the circuit at Ottawa. Jockey Richcrcek returned to the saddle today after a lay-off necessitated by his fall at Fort Erie. The apprentice rider II. Remmcrt was suspended for the remainder of the meeting by the starter yesterday.
