Won easily; second and third driving. THUNDERSTORM, after being saved under slight restraint in the early running, closed up with a rush in the last quarter and, passing OATH, won going away. GATII displayed much speed and took the lead after entering the stretch, but could not withstand the winners challenge. PASTORAL SWAIN was in close quarters and was shuttled back on the last turn, but finished fast and gamely when clear. HENDRIE closed a big gap on the outside in the last half mile. CAMOUFLEUR quit in the last quarter. JOCK SOOT could never get up. TKOILUS showed the most sneed for a half mile. BARKLIE, after being a prominent contender in the early running, took the lead and raced ROBERT OLIVER into defeat, but tired "when, called on for the linal effort. BLIGHTY II. kept pace with BARKLIE through the second turn of the field and tired in the last half mile. PRUDERY, away slowly, but a grand filly, slipped through next" to the inner rail in the stretch and. gaining rapidly, raced into the lead and won going away. STEP LIGHTLY had a clear course for the entire race and finished fast and gamely. NANCY LEE was shuffled back on the turn out of the backstretch, but recovered quickly and was forced extremely wide when entering the stretch, then made a game rush, but was tiring in the closing strides. MUTTIKINS showed great speed from the start, being much used in racing with CROCUS and tired in the stretch. CROCUS rushed into the lead and set a terrific pace, but tired in the last eighth. CAREFUL met with repeated interference- when endeavoring to slip through., next to the. inner- rail.. JESAVA and KIL-- LALA had but little chance. GNOME, in close quarters in the early running, was repeatedly bumped by JACK STUART and forced back on the back-stretch, then was saved until straightened out in the stretch and, finishing gamely, ran a great race. COCA COLA set a fast pace and drew away while rounding the last turn, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. GILT FRINGE met with interference in the first quarter, but gained steadily afterward ami was running fastest of all at the finish. DEHONAIRE refused to extend himself. CELIVA was outrun all the way.
