INTERESTING VISITOR AT TIJUANA SAN DIF.CO. Cal., December -7. A recent vis itor at the Tijuana track was George Lane, owner if the famous Bar V lancli in Alberta, Can. Mr. Lane is one of the great raneheis of the Northwest, farming 10.000 acres of wheat land and grazing vast numbers of horses and cattle on his ranges. He is the largest breeder of Porehorons in America and his trade goes both east and west. He sends horses to Kngland that win in the principal show rings and has exported a big consignment of Cnnadlan-bierts to Japan. Mr. I-anes interest in horses is not confined to the big ones, as lie is president of the Thoroughbred Horse Society of Alberta and of the Chinook Jockey Club of Calgary. 31o is a neighbor and partner or the Prince of "Wales, for whom he last year selected 4,000 acres of land adjoining the liar C and in concert with whom he lias imported a number of thoroughbred mares and younj; stock, to soon be joined by a stallion selected from the kings stud, and whose progeny will, as soon a? they are ready for racing, be seen in action on Canadian and American courses.
