BUSY DAY AT LOUISVILLE C C Van Meter and G J Long Horses Not to Race at Lexington LOUISVILLE Ky March 25 Despite yester ¬ days hard rain both Douglas Park and Churchill Downs were in good condition today for training purposes and busy scenes wen enacted at the two tracks tracksFour Four horses belonging to F W Staton arrived this morning from New Orleans Title took sick en route and was unloaded in bad condition J Dale brought Pullux up in the same car with the Staton outfit outfitDan Dan Lehan purchased Rallina a threeyearold filly by The Curragh Cuyadutla from George V Hames this morning Lehan sent Rose Ring to George J Longs Rashford Manor farm today to be mated with Ralph His Hronzewing will go to the court of Cataract while Itrig of War will be bred to Stockwell Jockey Lee Canfield will do the stable riding for Lehan this year yearC C C Van Meter will not take his sta to Lexington and the George J Long establishment will likewise await the opening of the Churchill Downs meeting W J Spiers and J J Shaughnessy departed for the East this afternoon after spending a few days here in quest of racing material for the coming New York season seasonSeveral Several requests for copies of the Kentucky rac ¬ ing law and rule books of th Kentucky State Racing Commission have been received from influ ¬ ential persons in St Louis within the last few days
