particularly the finish and when General Menocal carrying the silks of the Armonia Stable threatened to snatch victory from Hilly Harton in the last few strides the Cubans went wild with delight However Hilly Harton under Kennedys strong finish gamely held on and passed the judges a head in advance of the Cubanowned colt coltAiken Aiken the Whitneybred colt of which much was expected was the early pacemaker and after lend ¬ ing to the far turn quit badly and proved conclu ¬ sively that he was nothing more than a sprinter Hilly Harton followed the pacemaker closely for the first
