OLIVIERS REASONS FOR RESIGNING BALTIMORE Mil June 1 In his letter setting forth his views and the reasons for his resignation from the Maryland Racing Commission Mr Olivier makes it plain that he decided to quit because of the decision of the other two members of the com ¬ mission B Clay Timanus and James A Latane to require Maryland licenses of trainers and jockeys instead of leaving the licensing question to racing bodies in other states as was determined before the recent resignation of commissioner Joseph P Ken ¬ nedy nedyMr Mr Olivier expresses the fear that through the granting of licenses by the Maryland commission politics will creep iu and dominate the activities of the commission
