SENTI MENTALS FAST RACE Jockey W. Hinphy in Limelight by Riding Four Winners at King Edward Park. MONTREAL, line., August 10. W. 13. Jones provided the winner of the Imperial 1nrse, which featured the card at King Edward Park today, in Sentimental. The M-trathon mare outran her opponents throughout and scored a hollow victory from Mike and Horace Lcrclt. Incidentally, she ran the fastest mile of the year at this course. The riding of jockey W. Hinphy was a feature, lie piloting four of the seven winners Cortcz. Starkade.-, .Military Girl atid Pretty I.aby, all of which won by comfortable margins. The track was in good condition today, the weather most favorable and tin; attendance good. The good Canadian-bred Sturilcc. owned by 15. Mock, died here last night as a result of a fever contracted while en route from Tijuana to Wheeling last spring, from which hi; never recovered. Thomas J. Love, prominent Montreal business man and turfman, died here suddenly this morning. .Mr. Love raced under the noiii de course of the Uod I.nnk Stable and owned the steeplechaser Phil T., Kcd Star and others. He was at the races on Saturday and paid a visit to his horses as late as Sunday: Word reached here today of the death at Cleveland of former jockey P. Icrrin. Due to a shortage of horse cars the shipment of stables which had planned to leave here on Friday last for Erie. Pa., have not yet departed.
