BARON ROTHSCHILDS RETIREMENT With the exception of Doniazade, which is to be reserved for stud purposes, all Baron Maurice de Rothschilds horses in training will be offered at public auction on October 10. His yearlings, sixteen fillies and twelve colts, will be put up for sale at the same time. Baron Rothschild, who was born in 1881, is a member of the noted family of financiers. He has had a successful racing career, mostly identified with France. His most important win was witli Verdun in the Grand Prix de Paris of 1909, and the list of his successes on the French turf is a long one. Matt McGcc, the American jockey, is the present Rothschild rider, and until recently Wallace Davis, the American trainer, was the Rothschild, stable director.
