THE VENGEANCE was outrun for the first half, but came fast through the last eighth and outgamed CALISTOGA. The latter set .1 good pace to the last eichth but quit badly when challenged. Won driving; second and third the same. KIltAII was saved in the early running and was cut off when she attempted to go through on the far turn, then came around the leaders and, finishing resolutely, outgamed WALNUT II ALL. The latter raced prominently all the way, but began tiring when challenged. OSGOOD worked his way hp from a slow beginning, but was in close quarters ih the final drive. GALLIVANT and TIDINGS quit. RRYNGAR finished well. ZOUAVE set the early pace and quit badly. COCA COLA was in a jam and fell right after the start. WELLFINDER set the early pace, then aced in close pursuit of the winner and was in close quarters at the five-eighths post and had to be taken up sharply, then tired in the last eighth. LADS LOVE finished well and outgamed MOCK ORANGE at the end. The latter was much used in racing F1JANC TIHEUR into defeat and tired. EXPLOSIVE was knocked about and eased up when beaten. FRANC TIUEUR sot the pace to the- far turn and quit badly. Overweights Explosive. 4 pounds.
