«. «. LATEST TURF NEWS FROM LEXINGTON LEXINGTON. Ky.. February 1.— J. E. M.iddeu. aciiug for Montfort Jones, today sold to Robert 11. Shannon the three -year-old bay colt Deadlock, by Sir Wilfred -Hortonse IF. by Troutbeck. Deadlock is at Louisville and will be trained there by Shannon, who is to ship from here next Monday the three-year-old Postlude and a two-year-old filly. Deadlock was a winner hist year and finished fifth iu the Futurity from a poor beginning. He is a Kentucky Derby prospect and Shannon may decided to point him for thai race. Lloyd Gentry arrived here this morning from New Orleans and arranged for her shipment of Flags and a two-year-old to Louisville to join several hecaea from J. B. Ro-pcss High. and Stock Farm. Gentry left tonight for Cincinnati. Charles H. Berrymau. president of the Thoroughbred Horse Association, and owner of Saghonet Fatni, has gone to New York on business. * »
