Bradley, mayor of Ijexington. is to be resident manager of the Kentucky Jockey Clubs Lexington track and his apiHiintment dates from Anril 1. He is to have full charge mid general manager Matt J. Winn. who made the appointment, has stated that he will back him up in all matters. Mayor Bradley is well versed in racing. For a number of years he has been a breeder and owner of thoroughbred horses. He was the junior member of the firm of Bowman and Bradley. At the prcs.-ut time he is the owner of tie three-year-old Voshimi. an eligible far the Kentucky IK-rby, with better than an outside chance; the useful Ernest B.. which is to Is- put b-i-k into training to race next fail. and he has a half interest with Sanford C. L. lie in he two year old Luri-hunm! , by ormleighton Pirate Polly, which many ;.ood judge say is the ewanl of the colt Newanarket, recently purchased from Mr. Lytic by Jefferson Livingston for 5,000. Mnyr Bradley is also the owner of the brood mans Ellora and Rustle and a yearling brother • Marasmus, by Mentor — Rustle. Ellora is a half --i.ster to Miss Joy. being by Mazagan — Proud Daisy, by Pride, and Ellora is the dam of Sayonara and Settle and is in foal to Peter Quince, so the result- ing foal will be three parts brother or sister to Miss Joy. Rustle is in foal to Ballot and it is related hat the two-year-olds by Ballot are among the best in training at the Kentucky Jockey Club track. Mayor Bradley has loug been one of the most popular men in this community. From the office of county assessor he was elected sheriff of Payette Coiiiiy and tram the office of sheriff he was elected mayor and has yet twenty one months to serve in that office.
