PROTECT ENGLISH COURSES WITH HAY The weather has been so bad in England this spring that the courses near London, with enormous upkeep charges, adopted the plan of covering the racing grounds overnight with hay. so that the dangerous frost strips could be mellowed for the jumping, races which make up half the daily cards.
