Rounding | the far turn Cote dOr was sent to the front I with a rush and drew away into an easy lead from there on, leavinz no question as to the ultimate winner. Widow Redotte was I short margin ahead of Natural at the finish. ! Franc Tireur had but little difficulty in winning the fifth race, which was a dash of mile and a sixteenth. This made a double j for jockey Stirling. Explosive took second place, while Pooneville was third. Kimball Patterson, acting for R. Harding at private terms sold to J. Whyte. a local horseman, the two-year-old Patchwork fol- I lowing her victory yesterday. Jockey P. Woodstock departed for Hamil-ton and will ride for the G. W. Forman stable [ at that point.
