CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The name of Aghamore has been given to the three-year-old bay gelding by Glenvar-loch Saba, and the chestnut gelding by Glenvarloch Stay Away, also a three-year-old, has been named Pierre Ithue. Additional names registered for two-year-olds include : Margaret Ware, brown filly, by The Astronomer Pin Feather ; Hayseed, brown filly, by Garry Herrmann Rural, and Conoco, chestnut gelding by Skilful Tutor. It is reported that F. R. Hitchcock has bought the good French sire Rlro Aux Lar-mes and the horse is on his way to this country. Rire Aux Larmes was a good race horse and has sired many winners in Franca. Trainer James Evans of the Gifford Cochran stable started for Europe last Saturday for a rest of about three months. Carroll Shilling will have charge of the Cochran horses during Evans absence. They are at Saratoga. The following foals are reported by Thomas G. and Charles Griffin Herring. Brldgewater, Va. : Brown filly by Bard of Hope Madge Wildfire, by Bourbon Beau; bay filly by Haldeman Crossdales, by Or mondale.
