LANIUS raced in close pursuit thronghcut and moved up gamely at the eighth post, but tired in the final sixteenth. CRYSTAL FORD closed a gap and came with, a rush through the stretch. IRISH BRIGADIER raced wide all the way. BANTRY PASS went prominently for five-eighths. WILLIAM TELL was a forward contender throughout and lost ground when entering the stretch, but recovered quickly and made a game finish. CAVEAT EMPTOR, in close quarters in the early running, finished fast when clear. SPOT CASH began slowly and closed a big gap. COEDR DE LION ran a game race. Won driving; second and third the same. CAPE CLEAR took the lead at once and, after being headed by SAKAH, onffinished the latter. SAKAH, close up from the start, moved up menacingly on the last turn and took the lead, but tired in the final strides. SATELLITE ran a steady race throughout, but was under hard riding to withstand PRINCE TH TU at the end. The latter finished fastest of all. BKT.PHRIZONIA tired badly la the stretch run.
