The general opinion is that conditions were never more favorable and this has been reflected in prices attained during the present year for yearlings and ready-to-race horses. ; There never was a more favorable time for i those who love the thoroughbred to enter : the ranks of the breeders and an opportu-I nity will be offered at Lexington on November 21 to secure some select brood mares. On that date will be held the annual breeders sale, which this year includes the entire dispersal ot the Waldeck Stud, the dispersal I of the estate of the late Captain inridge Viley, among which is the suc-cessful Ben Brush stallion, Vandergrift; a consignment fropi W. C. Patterson, Jr., including Fair Empress dam of the wonderful gelding Exterminator and her yearling foal by George Smith, and numerous brood mares from other owners, including the get of Uock Sand, Star Shoot. Sweep, Luke McLuke, Ogden, Requital, Watervale, Peter Quince, Plaudit, Yankee, Granite, Kingston, Orsini, Transvaal, Zeus, Peep o Day, Pride, Dick Welles and many others. A catalog of this sale has been issued and it shows some very desirable offerings.
