BROWN BELLE set a good pace from. the start and was taken under slight restraint after rounding the first turn, then answered resolutely when forced to a drive in the final eighth. SILKS AND SATIN raced in closest pursuit of the leader and moved up into the lead after going a half mile, but her rider was unable to do her justice in the final drive. JAMAICA BELLE was outpaced, but came gamely through the stretch. SIR JACK saved ground on the turns and had no mishaps. MOUNTAIN DEW tired after going well for a half mile. KINGLING II., after racing in close pursuit of the early leaders, took the lead and drew away, but tired in the final twenty yards. DOTTAS BEST was outrun for the first half, but gained steadily when called upon and easily passed the others in the final eighth. ZENNOTTA set a good pace, but was much used in racing QUEEN OF THE SPA into defeat and tired.
