R. H. CRAWFORD SIGNS CONTRACT FOR 1923 NEW YORK, N. Y November 28. R. H. "Specs" Crawford, for half a dozen yeara one of the most prominent steeplechase riders in America has severed his connections with the J. S. Cosden and William Garth interests. Crawford will leave for England and France next week to recruit a strong stabla of jumpers for George and James Clark, newcomers to racing. One of the Clark brothers will meet Crawford in England and the pair will seek suitable material for the new stable. Crawford has signed a contract to train the Clark horses and will ride them in cross-country contests in the United States and Canada in 1923. R. H.
