JOCKEY W. POOL OPERATED ON SAN DIEGO, Cal., December 7. Jockey W. Pool was stricken with, appendicitis Tuesday evening and was operated on successfully at a local hospital. Physicians in charge report that the crack rider should recover quickly and be able to resume riding shortly after the first of the new year.
