JINX ON A JOCKETS CAP While competing for the Nutfield Steeple ¬ chase at Gatewick England January 13 1917 Kanran Wiseton II Glenpeat Bridge IV Over Anxious Verney and Drumlane came down Rogers the rider of Wiseton II unfortunately fractured his thigh and Graham who had the mount on Over Anxi ¬ ous was temporarily knocked out By an extraordinary coincidence the cap worn by Rogers was the same headcovering worn by Fitton on the same occasion fifteen years previous when he fell and fractured a leg The cap had not been used again until Rog ¬ ers wore it
