TEN SIXTY forced the pa.-e from the start and headed LEMNOS in the final sixteenth, but tired when the winner challenged. LEMNos set a fast pace and saved ground on the turns, but tired. WILD ASTKR. on the outside from the start, finished resolutely. STRPT MISS LIZZIE ran a good race from the start. APPLECROSS began in a tangle and closed a gap. JOHNNY JEWELL quit. BROTHERHOOD close up from the start, moved up into the lead on the hack stretch, then stood a long drive gamely and outfinished HARRY CARROLL. The latter ran a good race all the way. raced on th* outside from the start and made a game challenge in the stretch, but tired in the final eighth. CANDY-MAKER slipped through on the iniside while rounding the first turn, and was then taken under slight restraint but finished fast. EL CANOE ran well from the start. CHEF-lt OE! V RK los«*d a gap on the inside. TOILER ran fairly well. ROYAL FLAK closed up some ground. FRANCES VICTORIA was bnmped while racing to the first turn. PORTO BELLO GOLD was impeded on the tar turn, where he tried to go through on the inside, but gained a clear course on the stretch turn and finished gamely. FADDY was outriis to the stretch turn and caaae with a belated rush at the cud. SHIP ran a good nice from the start. GRIERSOX shewed early speed but tired after rating SALLIES VALLEY into defeat.
